Education Begins in the Home
Building a Strong Foundation
- Get a private tutor - check :)
- Cook with your children and have them measure the ingredients and discuss the chemical changes taking place.
- Create a small home garden using your land, containers, or making raised beds out of wood or cinder blocks.
- Practice kindness by serving your neighbors and community through making cards, cooking meals, cleaning, or volunteering.
- Study the Bible with your children by focusing on one story per week. Connect the events to your personal lives, memorize a specific verse, sing songs, draw pictures, and practice the principles learned.
Remember you’re training your children for this world and for eternity. The times we live in are unpredictable and you want their foundation to be solid. Yes they need to be intelligent, but don’t stop there. Inspire them to be intelligent and God-fearing like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Not only were these individuals 10 times smarter than their peers, but they were fearless, had integrity, and empowered to do right because of their relationship with God.
